Subject: New Layout Debate

I've been deciding for a while on what to do with my layout, the green and maroon and I decided, after stealing my brother's livejournal style, that this is the better alternative. Well...so far. I'm still deciding, you see. And I'm still updating as you see as well. It's hard work. Anyway, the point of this is not to bore you, but to compare the virtues and goodness of both of them. Let's begin with the old layout:

My first layout was a haze of green (#99cc66 for you hexidecimal folks) and a background color I found by accident, which appears here still (#851b49). I based it off of the spiffy image menu thing I had although it ended up a little to the worse of what I wanted.

+ background color/ I loved and still cherish to this day.
= secondary color/I'm not so against it as I am against them together. Mind you, I still use that color...just...not as frequently.
+ layout/I like the way it was all against one side and a bit over the top, leaving nice table room in the middle.
- speed of loading/ The site was a little slow due to all the colors, images, applets, forms, etc.
- updating/hard to update because of the large amount of links/pages
- location/hard to find all of the links. I hope this will solve things.
- login errors/ you couldn't ... exactly login, if you know what I mean. It was sort of one of those "Hey, let's take you to a generic page."
+ certain add-ins from Bravenet made things extra spiffy.
= content/ The content was pretty good considering what ever the heck I was doing at the time.
+ images/ while they could be better, the images were my photoshopped wonders. Marvelous little things. Now to this layout:

My second layout, while I haven't tested it out any, is sort of hard to work with on a few things...as you will see eventually.
+ background color/ Makes it easier to read
+ secondary color/ A light mauve, less striking, a bit more feminine
+ layout/ Mostly against one side...mostly
+ speed of loading/ Not that much wait
- updating/ links all in one area
- location/ ditto
= login errors/ I'm still not sure =-p
+ add ins are good
= content/ The same...somethings edited more than others
= images/ cut out a few, brought back a few.

The scores: Old: 5 points. New: 7.5 points. I think we have a winner! But it's still up to you to decide. Check out the feedback form.
